Julian Nagelsmann: Bayern Munich Coach and Former Player

Early Life and Career

Julian Nagelsmann was born on July 23, 1987, in Landsberg am Lech, Germany. He began his career as a youth player for FC Augsburg, but his professional playing career was cut short by a knee injury.

Coaching Career

After retiring from playing, Nagelsmann pursued a coaching career. He started as an assistant coach for the Augsburg under-19 team in 2008. In 2013, he was appointed as the manager of the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim under-19 team, and in 2016, he became the manager of the club's senior team.

Success with Hoffenheim and Bayern Munich

Under Nagelsmann's guidance, Hoffenheim enjoyed a successful period, finishing fourth in the Bundesliga in 2017-18 and qualifying for the Champions League for the first time. In 2019, he joined Bayern Munich as head coach. Since then, he has led the club to a Bundesliga title, two German Cups, and the UEFA Champions League title in 2020.

National Team Career

In 2021, Nagelsmann was appointed as the manager of the Germany national team. He has led the team to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where they are hoping to win their fifth World Cup title.
